From Other Churches?

At ODBC, soul-winning, reaching the LOST for Jesus, is the center of our work.

We are trying to fulfill the Great Commission by winning, baptizing, and discipling converts.

At ODBC, we have never tried to recruit Christians from other Bible-preaching churches that preach Jesus as the only way to Heaven. If you already have a good church and are just shopping around, ODBC probably isn't for you.

We do understand, however, that some Christians just aren’t being fed or their church has moved away from the Bible. There are also Christians who have moved and need to find a good church in their area. If this is you, we welcome you. We find that many good Christians have a VERY hard time finding good, gospel-preaching churches in the Seattle area. Many Christians are starving for the Bible, and I guarantee that won’t happen at ODBC. You will hear a Bible FILLED message, every time, that will be both practical and doctrinally sound.

Witnessing We don't just say "we need to reach the world", we aggressively fulfill the Great Commission. We use the biblical pattern of "everywhere, and house to house" found in
Acts 5:42 and 20:20.

Warm and friendly Everyone will receive a warm welcome at ODBC! We work hard to show the Lord's love, and we don't have a bunch of cliques. We are just a bunch of sinners who help each other serve Jesus and try to lift each other up!

Conservative We stick with "the old book"! We are not trying to be like the world, but like Jesus. We have an exciting traditional service, and preach the Bible without compromise. We don't seek to be politically correct, but to be Biblically correct!

A passion for the Lord We are not just trying to have the same, run of the mill, 21st-century Christianity which is very "lukewarm". We believe in being on-fire and sold-out for God!

Strong Bible emphasis Christians tell us that they are starving for the Word but aren't being fed in churches. Everything we do is Bible-centered. The preaching is founded on and filled with the Bible, as are all Sunday School classes. We don't replace biblical preaching with man's opinions or ideas.
